Athletes with Disabilities Division
Criteria for entry into the 2017 VT 100 Athletes with Disability (AWD) Category is as follows: AWDs must be able to run the course; tethers may be used for athletes with a visually impairment, leg prosthetics may be used for amputees. Crutches, braces, or poles may be used if indicated/necessary, with approval from the RD. Since the course is a trail through the mountains, it is not suitable for athletes in wheelchairs. AWDs must be able to finish within the 30 hour cutoff.
All runners must complete 8 hours volunteer service, or pay the Volunteer Buy-Out fee, prior to June 15th. More information on the volunteer service requirement is here.
Team Run 2 Empower
The Vermont Adaptive Team Run 2 Empower provides guaranteed entry into the Vermont 100 (100-mile or 100 km race), plus raises additional money for Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. There are limited slots, to be filled on a first come/first serve basis, however spots are currently available. Please contact the Race Director (at firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are interested in participating in the Team.
Every year, the third weekend in July, over 400 runners and over 50 horses race through the hills of West Windsor, Woodstock,Taftsville, Pomfret, Cavendish and Reading Vermont all to benefit Vermont Adaptive.
